How to Become a DaD Messenger (And What’s Coming Next)

DaD is still in its earliest stages, and we’re thrilled to see interest from those who want to be a part of this unique messaging platform. One of the most common questions we’ve received so far is: How does one become a messenger and get paid?

Getting Started as a Messenger

While full documentation is still in the works, here’s what you need to know about becoming a messenger on DaD:

  1. Sign Up – A simple onboarding process allow messengers to register, set up payment details, and start receiving message delivery opportunities. The onboarding process is through our payment processor Stripe. Shown in the gif below is the process for getting to DaD's Stripe onboarding page.

Now is the perfect time to personalize your messenger account by adding your voice. A distinct, recognizable voice can help set you apart and enhance the human connection DaD is built on. In the future, senders will be able to choose messengers directly by ID, making your profile a key factor in getting selected for jobs in addition to choosing them yourself. Further, we're planning minute-based calling options, giving messengers even more opportunities to engage and earn. Check out the attached GIF to see how easy it is to customize your profile within the DaD Messenger UI.

More ways for DaD Messengers to secure work:

  1. Actively browsing and selecting jobs (like a traditional gig platform).
  2. Being directly chosen by senders based on their profile and ID, making personalization a competitive advantage.

  1. Browse Available Messages – Once onboard, messengers will be able to view available jobs and select the ones they’d like to deliver. Of course, currently we are still in early stages so jobs may be sparse... or even not available, but be patient and check often. Be like one of the early Uber drivers and don't miss out!

Empty Messenger Jobs

  1. Deliver the Message – Your job is to relay messages exactly as intended, adding the human touch that makes DaD unique.

  1. Get Paid – Payments will be processed after message confirmation which usually happens 24 hours after the message sender confirms your deliver and/or the job is autoconfirmed by DaD, ensuring fairness and accountability for both senders and messengers.

Why DaD Is Different

Unlike other gig platforms, DaD isn’t about automation—it’s about real human connection. We believe some messages are best delivered personally, with tone, nuance, and care that AI or text just can’t replicate.

What’s Next?

Since DaD is still in early development, we’re working hard to refine the messenger experience and build out the necessary guides and tools. Expect more articles, FAQs, and platform updates soon!
