Good Viewing
On a mental journey with my projects, I discovered pottery and some amazing creators. One guy’s videos are legit and heartfelt, another gave me warm, cozy vibes. Check them out—learn ancient pottery or just enjoy the art of making, creating, and existing on this blue rock while we can.
On a new mental journey about where to take some of the projects I'm working on, I ended up down a path of discovering more about pottery and whatnot. Figured I'd share these things with you. The video above was well put together and definitely worth watching—great production value and content on the topic. I'm biased as well, being part Japanese… so there is that. Don't hold it against me.
I discovered this guy just yesterday, and he seems legit. I don’t know, something about him is just likable to me and puts me at ease (not an easy task). I must admit there are the irritating plugs here and there for his courses and the like, but I get a sense that the man is sincerely interested and has a deep love for what he does, versus just being about the dollar bill. Money makes the world go round, I get it. And furthermore, I'm not holier-than-thou when it comes to shaking my ass for a dollar… the practice just disgusts me.
I will not digress… just one more thing to say: I wish we could all be makers and creators and just exist on this blue rock for the limited time we're here… doing what we do until our time is up, without the complication of socioeconomic complexities that make up the reality of every civilization thus far. Ok, I'm done. Check his stuff out when you get a chance.
